Delhi is The Fashion Capital of India

Do you agree that Delhi is the fashion capital of India? It definitely is. Having stayed for most of my life in Delhi, I have never seen so many fashion styles co-existing together. You can see people dressed up in ethnic, formal and casual attires and looking very fashionable and they carry themselves off also so well. In fact, the Indian designer wear is quite popular abroad too and you can see many foreigners sporting Indian sarees and Kurtas and looking really chic and elegant.

There are a lot of promising and extremely talented fashion designers in Delhi. While there are people wearing the ubiquitous sarees, you can also find people wearing the western attire very comfortably. Though I might not be able to write about all the best fashion designers in Delhi, I will try to present a list of few of them and people whom I have visited.

Pop it up by Pernia Quereshi:
If you have watched the movie Aisha and have appreciated Sonam Kapoor’s wardrobe in that, then you need to definitely check out Pop It Up as Pernia was the person behind her look. She also has the stock from the leading and top fashion designers in delhi such as Kapil and Monika Arora, Sandeep Khosla, Abu Jani, Sabyasachi, Rity Kumar, Masaba etc.

At ease by Pia Pauro:

Pia Pauro’s collection was showcased in the 2013 Fashion week of Wills Lifestyle and her styles include resort wear with embroideries, beads and 3D geometrics. When I went to Goa, I had picked up a few costumes from there and they were really very nice.

Urban space with Turquoise and Gold:

When you visit this place, you will find lovely and vibrant colours adorning the shop window. They are also too good in collection of resort wear. They have lovely and elegant dresses, chic kaftans, tops, bikinis, jumpsuits and a lovely range of clutches. Other than that, they also have beautiful floral frocks for children and swim wear which are quite bright coloured.
